Q: Do You Provide Installation of 3rd Party Mods?
A: Yes. Our "Hands On" rate applies to any installation service along with our one hour minimum charge. To get the most for your money, we usually recommend tagging up installation services with additional installs or other service requests which may also be performed during our one-hour minimum requirement.
Q: I recently upgraded my vBulletin from a prior version and something went wrong. Can you help?
A: Typically yes. We can also provide emergency support and after hours support in such cases.
Q: Do you design or install templates or make modifications to existing templates?
A: Yes and No. We don't typically design templates from scratch and will install templates per request. We will also be happy to make modifications to your templates if you know exactly what you want. Our "Hands On" rate applies to all template related issues, unless you are requesting support and feedback on where to make changes so you can make them yourself, in which case you may use our Hands Off rate.
Q: What is your typical turn around time?
A: It all depends on what your particular request and our current schedule. For custom projects, we will typically give you a target date for completion, which is scheduled based on current load and project requirements. For Hands Off Email Support only incidents, typically we will respond in less than 24 hours and often in a few hours or less. Emergency requests and after-hour requests are dealt with on an individual basis but response can be immediate.
Q: Your service rates seem expensive to me?
A: DigitalCrowd brings many years of experience from all areas of running a web site. In addition, we are located in the United States and do not out source our services over seas. As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for."
Q: Do you offer any discounts?
A: We run discounts from time-to-time, and typically will offer sizable discounts for who wish to pre-purchase time in bulk or sign a contact for on-going service. Please contact us if you believe you might fit into this category.
Q: What do you mean by "Hands On" Support?
A: We define any service that requires us to log into your web site, forum, or server or anything that requires us to get "under the hood" of your site to help resolve any requests you have. These type of requests are charged at an hourly rate, with the first hour being the minimum charge, then charged in 10 increments thereafter. It is possible to group requests together.
Q: What do you mean by "Hands Off" Support?
A: We define any service that is more of a Q & A role. For example, you send us a service request asking us which section of code you should update for a particular feature your adding, or inquiring what might be wrong with your HTML code causing your page to display funky in some browsers. Issues that we don't need to log into your site or get "under the hood" as the saying goes.
